A free undergraduate textbook on quantum theory, suitable for a first course.

Terry Rudolph is a Professor of Quantum Physics at Imperial College London, co-founder and Chief Architect of PsiQuantum.

Matteo Lostaglio suffered through a PhD in Quantum Physics with Terry till 2016. He has since been a postdoc at ICFO Barcelona, TU Delft and UvA, working at the crossroad of quantum information, quantum thermodynamics, quantum foundations and quantum computing. His current focus is quantum algorithms for fault-tolerant quantum computing in the Quantum Applications team at PsiQuantum (personal website).

We share a passion for quantum theory, and we both felt there did not exist a freely available undergraduate textbook with the particular focus that we would have appreciated as students. So we decided to write one.
